Abstract painting of a tall, black tree trunk with branches and colorful flowers, in bright reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and blues, on a vibrant watercolor background.

Ann Handelman is a local artist from Parkville, Missouri. Her paintings are inspired by the shapes, colors, textures, and beauty found in nature – urban and natural.

Her background is in art education, graduating from KU and has a Masters from UMKC.

Her process does not end when a painting is finished, “I hope it continues as the viewer engages and finds their own story, interpretation, and connection to the painting”.
