Mary Pat Corder has taught art at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic School for the past twenty years. In her own words she admits: “I have a compulsion--no an obsession--to make art”.

Her husband once remarked: "perhaps you should consider selling your art by the pound". Mary Pat studied art at The University of Kansas. Prior to graduating she worked at Hallmark cards in their Process Art Department.

She works in oil, acrylic and watercolor, and she is a huge advocate of recycling. She creates unique art from objects that might otherwise be discarded. She once disassembled a piano that was beyond repair, and used the various parts to create some of her whimsical works.
