Much of my inspiration comes from noticing the subtle beauty in everyday things- how ordinary moments can be exciting.
From a young age, I was drawn to art and eagerly sought out every opportunity to create. One of my most formative experiences came from studying with a local artist who offered private lessons in her home, where I learned to paint detailed realism in acrylic.
Not long after, my first child was born, and I stepped into the role of a stay-at-home mother. While raising my three children kept life beautifully full, painting remained a steady practice through those years.
In 2013, I began exhibiting my work in boutiques and galleries throughout the Kansas City area. It was my first glimpse into what it meant not only to share my work publicly, but to begin shaping a cohesive artistic voice. Since then, my paintings have expanded into a select number of galleries across the United States, in addition to being available through my website.
My work centers on finding beauty in everyday subjects and presenting them in a way that feels vibrant, playful, and full of light. No matter what Iām painting, my goal is to create a sense of luminosity, color harmony and tension of perspectives within the piece.
